MapStride Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 20, 2026
1. Introduction
Artevus Technologies (Private) Limited ("Artevus", "we", "us", "our") operates MapStride, a fitness tracking mobile application available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store (the "App" or "Service").
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information in connection with MapStride. It applies to all users of the App, including guests who use the App without creating an account and registered users who sign in with email, Google, or Apple.
By using MapStride, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
2. Our Privacy Commitments
We are committed to protecting your privacy. In particular:
-
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
-
We do not use your personal data for third-party advertising.
-
We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the Service.
-
Location data is used for workout tracking when you grant permission, not for advertising.
-
Health platform access (Apple Health / Google Health Connect) is optional and requires your explicit consent.
-
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide
When you create an account or use certain features, you may provide:
-
Account information such as name, email address, and password
-
Profile information such as age, gender, weight, height, unit preferences, and profile photo
-
Communications you send to us, including feedback and support requests
-
Optional content such as workout titles
3.2 Fitness and Location Information
When you record a workout, we may collect:
-
GPS location and route data during an active workout
-
Distance, duration, pace, speed, elevation, and related metrics
-
Step counts (for applicable workout types)
-
Estimated calories burned
-
Workout type and related activity details
Location is collected only while you are actively tracking a workout and have granted location permission. Location may continue to be recorded when the App is in the background during an active workout so that your session is not interrupted.
3.3 Health Platform Information (Optional)
If you enable Health Sync and grant permission through Apple Health (HealthKit) or Google Health Connect, we may:
-
Read steps, heart rate, workouts, energy burned, and related distance or calorie data
-
Write MapStride workouts (including route data when available) to your health platform
We do not access health platform data unless you opt in and grant the required system permissions. You may disable Health Sync or revoke permissions at any time in the App or in your device settings.
MapStride is a fitness tool, not a medical device. Health-related information is provided for informational purposes only and is not medical advice.
3.4 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the App, we may automatically collect certain technical and usage information from your device. This may include information needed to operate the App, improve performance, diagnose issues, and deliver notifications you have enabled.
3.5 Guest Users
You may use MapStride without creating an account. Guest users may still provide profile information during onboarding, and workout data is stored primarily on the device. Limited guest
profile information linked to a device identifier may be stored on our servers. If you later create an account, guest data may be associated with that account.
3.6 Information We Do Not Collect
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information that is not needed to provide the Service. For example, we do not store full payment card details, biometric identifiers, or contact lists, and we do not access location or health platform data except as described in this Policy and with your permission.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
-
Provide, operate, and maintain MapStride, including workout tracking, maps, history, and profile features

We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate and improve the App. These providers process information only as needed to provide services to us and are expected to protect it appropriately.
5.3 Sharing You Initiate

Active account data is retained while your account remains active.
